Reading the Q&A for physiology first started out as rather funny and interesting because some questions were horrendously hilarious. Someone actually implied that humans fluid feed when we eat porridge? FOR REAL wth????
Then after awhile it got really annoying and frustrating because many of the questions asked were incredibly STUPID and BRAINLESS.

Why on earth do people ask questions that are already
1) clearly stated in the notes
2) common sense
3) can be readily checked out on the internet.

And oh my gawd some students even checked the internet yet got their information wrong?!?!?! and the correct info was already in the notes I have no idea why the need to check from the net for?! Also, I personally think it’s faster and easier to check on the net rather than to pester the prof for answers to stupid questions! If I was the prof I would have probably puked blood while reading some of the questions asked by students.

Okay I’m getting pissed off because it’s starting to be a bloody waste of time and I feel as if I’m getting more stupid reading the Q&A.

So are all these students who flood the Prof with stupid (sorry I can't seem to come up with a better adjective) questions, good students???? Maybe good students, but how about smart students??? Okay I do admit there are A FEW useful questions asked. These questions should be filtered in and the rest out. It's pointless to read stupid questions coupled with an unnecessary reply. Oh yes, also, there are the "act smart" questions. PFFFTTTT. but I shan't go there. Typing this is already a waste of time. I just needed an avenue to vent my frustrations.

MY GAWD, and to know that all these kiasu science students score better than me!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm gonna start whining.

There was obviously a reason why I ALWAYS looked forward to Art classes be it in Kindergarten (omg I loved colouring sooooo much) Primary or Secondary school.

There was obviously a reason why I spent so much money on art materials and I still keep them.
There was obviously a reason why I always volunteered to paint hugeass banners/ decorate the class boards etc.

There was obviously a reason why I chose not to take art in Sec 3 and took triple science instead but yet was given a choice to take art AGAIN in Sec 4 for O levels "privately" with "no foundation".

There was obviously a reason why I ace-d it as well.

There was obviously a reason why I was shortlisted for NY AEP programme (yet I didn't even go for the interview or test trial or whatever cos I THOUGHT doing Science was a better path -.-)

And sadly, that's prob the only thing my parents praised me/ were proud of me for, I think. Art.
My sister who got 3 points for O levels this year always gets praised for well, being a genius? Hahaha.

Sigh I dunno I think its a bit pointless thinking of my options right now because I don't really think I have any. I don't exactly have a portfolio. Butter wasn't as fun as I wanted it to be so we left for Zouk about 1. Grad and Val stayed at Butter becos they didn't get Phuture stamp and it was prolly already full house for the free entry for ladies. Went to Holiday Inn to get a bottle of Whiskey first. We were happy high at the river. Pris, Zheng Hui, Tiff, Adrian, Damon and I.

SO Adrian Tiff and I left for my place. Adrian helped me carry the drunktard to my room before she crashed on my bed. It's okay, maid changed the sheets for me already. I slept on my living hall sofa.

More peaks are visible with m/e ratios larger than the molecular ion peak due to isotope distributions. The value of 92 in the toluene example corresponds to the monoisotopic mass of a molecule of toluene entirely composed of the most abundant isotopes (1H and 12C). The so-called M+1 peak corresponds to a fraction of the molecules with one higher isotope incorporated ((2H or 13C) and the M+2 peak has two higher isotopes. The natural abundance of the higher isotopes is low for frequently encountered elements such as hydrogen, carbon and nitrogen and the intensity of isotope peaks subsequently low and the intensity quickly diminishes with total mass. In halogens on the other hand higher isotopes have a large abundance which results in a specific mass signature for halogen containing compounds.

Peaks with mass less that the molecular ion are the result of fragmentation of the molecule. These peaks are called daughter peaks. The peak with the highest ratio is called the base peak which is not necessary the molecular ion. Many reaction pathways exist for fragmentation but only newly formed cations will show up in the mass spectrum and not radical fragments or neutral fragments.

Metastable peaks are broad peaks at non-integer mass values. These peaks result from molecular fragments with lower kinetic energy because of fragmentations taking place ahead of the ionization chamber. They are not of analytical value."

Hello world.

Genetics CA again tmr. Ugh.
Open book, open discussion, open internet whatsoever = probably a really difficult question.
I can't seem to focus now. Quite apparent since I'm blogging instead of being glued to my notes.

I was really hungry and was too lazy to head down to buy supper so I made do with cup noodles.
Just drank a cup of MSG. I hope my hair doesn't fall too much becos it's really a bitch to clean up fallen hair from my room floor.

My baby is being an angsty boy so I headed to TJC to "surprise" him and make sure he's alright after his H1 math paper today. I came much earlier before the paper ended hoping to get some genetics into my already saturated brain in the school canteen but was refused entry (in fear of disrupting peace during examination hours. WTF??!?!??!!) by annoying security guards :( :( Was very very annoyed. Ended up studying at some HDB void deck across the school. How lame.

His parents sent me back to hall not too long ago and went "gaigai" together after that. Aww so cute. IT WAS SUPER STRESSFUL IN THE CAR COS HIS PARENTS SPOKE IN CHINESE AND MY CHINESE IS REALLY SHIT sighhhh. Intense. (Baby wasn't with me. He was studying at home.)

Hoho okay one thing to look forward to tomorrow.
Damon and I are going ARTS canteen to eat the Yong Tau Fu for lunch.

I needa start finding my friends in NUS and bid for the same mods because I'm a fucking loner in uni now I think its very sad. I applied for my faculty/course/hall/modules without considering who will be in the same course/mods blabla. I turn up for classes only to realise so and so is in the same class/fac (if I'm lucky). IT'S NOT EASY MAKING FRIENDS IN SCIENCE OKAY. I'm majorly ranting right now.

HELLO I'M VERY LAZY

Yes I am. So I don't update on my "daily happenings" now. Not that it's very happening, I beg to differ. There's nothing interesting about school life just that exams are in 2 weeks which I REALLY NEEDA STUDY FOR.

OOOOHHH YES, I went for my FIRST Halloween. It wasn't superduper fun though :( Baby didn't come with me cos he had to study so I went with Tiff and Gradys instead. Zouk was insanely packed so we headed to Social House instead. Aww and Attica people were soooo nice to let me cut queue and go in though it was full house. It was quite a bitch to get into Social house even with VIP queue. Disappointing.

Won't be uploading pictures of Halloween here. They're all on facebook. You could click on Tiffie's blog to see some pictures though :) I'll upload my make up pictures for the night though :) Simple and nothing fancy though I put on green contact lenses.

Baby commissioned last last Thursday.
Went with his Parents Brother Sister and Aunt.
His brother took a lot of photos. Baby has it in a thumbdrive now and hasn't uploaded it yet.
So that'll have to wait. My camera was crappy that day so I didn't take any photos.

One week of leave after which he had to use it to study for A's :/

I played with Drosophilas during lab last Monday.

The lab had bottles and bottles of mutated drosophilas.
We had to put them to sleep using the "FLY NAP" thingy but they were still wriggling.
VERY GROSS. I felt all itchy throughout the whole lab session :/

This is ultra bad news because when lecturers say this it means that the exam will be super hard and you probably won't be able to do it anyways. And wow FINALLY, a Science lecturer that can speak proper audible English.

Funny how we're all in uni yet we still feel so fucking inadequate and lousy about ourselves.
Like how we can never be smart enough, skinny enough, pretty enough, talented enough and the list goes on.
I was just trying to cheer Tiff up but epic super fail and I end up feeling lousy about myself too -.-

I'm depressed in NUS. We're stuck in this stupid rat race. We study just to keep up with everyone else.
All we do is study and sometimes I wonder if there's anything else I'm good at.
There's definitely much more to life but I really can't seem to see past it when I'm stuck in this rat race.

It's scary how I see people eagerly waiting outside lecture halls, waiting for the current lecture to end so that they can snag the front seats. They RUN in once the lecturer reaches the last blank slide and jump over tables to place their bags on the seats. Some even trip and fall in the process. Very unsightly and disgusting.

When I study and mug my guts out because I don't wanna lose out, I feel as if I'm just slowly becoming one of them. I'm slowly revolving around the books and nothing else. The thought of it is fucking depressing.

I cut baby's hair on Sunday!!
It was way too long for NS and his superior already reprimanded him for it:/
So snip snip. Hehe I've never cut anyones hair before BUT it turned out pretty well okay!

Hello people, it's been awhile since I last blogged proper.

I know it's been 3 weeks since school started but I need to make some "back to school" resolutions!

They're gonna be tough to follow hahaha, I know it :(

I went for KR steppers trials last night and it lasted all the way till 3a.m. in the morning.

Skipped my one and only 10a.m. lecture for the day. ( On a separate note, I screwed up the first sem of my uni life. I have only 4 mods due to bidding for the wrong mod which I then dropped and didn't succeed in my appeal ugh. ) I must say that the trial was pretty fun and it was an experience. The simple stunts look really scary to do and I was amazed how I could stand on someone's shoulders on my first try and actually lock myself there.

I was actually hesitating to go for trails cos I absolute hate auditions! They make me feel really insecure and very very VERY self-conscious. Having no background for almost everything made everything even more stressful :( Tiff sent me an encouragement text some days back and it really pushed me to go for the try outs :) You've been awesome Tiffie ♥ Gradys is trying out for NTU cheerleading team and I hope she gets in haha.

School's been rather dreadful, really.

I just spent 130 bucks on 3 textbooks and found out I could get them for cheaper at Clementi book store -.-
I've been busy during weekends and I didn't go back home for the first 2 weeks of school!
Went home on the 3rd week for a day before heading back on a Sunday morning for inter-block touchrug.

I was online window shopping the day before school started (last monday night)

Forever 21! AND I SUPER LOVE THIS ENTIRE OUTFIT ABOVE.
I want a leather biker jacket :/ but I guess I'll only wear it a couple of times so I don't know if its worth the investment. Bought a pair of simple grey leggings from Cotton On earlier in the day. Went shopping with Tiffie :) It's been awhile. Bought more tops which i really DO NOT need -.- Here's my most outrages buy for that day becos I just couldn't resist.

Tiffie bought cream bandage wedges (I got a black pair online for only 24bucks!) while I got this pair. Of course this pair aint for school purposes. The heels are like 12-13cm. The first time I wore them to work at Butter, I could barely walk omg. Wore it again last night for work at Social House and I guess practice makes perfect. IT KILLS MY FEET MAJORLY THOUGH. Sigh, things I'll bear with to wear pretty things :(

I only attended the last part of the orientation cos I was a last minute confirmation for Kent Ridge Hall. This picture was taken on the 3rd or 4th day of FWOC at Sentosa :) I couldn't play any water games though cos of my naval piercing and it was already starting to get a lil' infected! :(

There was this dating game going on as well where the freshies have to chase seniors from hall and ask them to be our dates for the Formal Dinner and the mass movie date screening the movie "UP". I didn't play the game though cos I just couldn't bring myself to chase a guy HAHAHA. I'm SORRY I know it's just a GAME but I can't bring myself to do something special for someone who just aint "that kind of" special to me:/ Some freshies did insane things. There were some who went on the stage at the dining hall and started seranading to their respective targets. There was this one dude who folded a hell loaded cranes and stuck them on a senior's wall on my level of my block saying, "WILL YOU BE MY DATE (with a heart)".

I got blind dated in the end haha :/

The movie "UP" was DAMN GOOD I MUST SAY.
Pixar is doing a brilliant job I must say.

I stoned through CORS briefing cos it was tooooo dry, boring and CONFUSING.
Module bidding is stressing me out. Wanted to take some visual landscaping module but it clashes with my Chemistry one :(
